I love how these black laundry baskets are put UP out of the way so she can sort her clothes until it’s time to wash them without tripping over them.

These wall mounted hanging bars really help in line drying AND sorting clothes by person to be carried (BY THEM!) to their closets.

Last week a few of my blogging buddies and I attended an Invisalign party. As we learned all about the advancements in orthodontia I was the one raising my hand to all the Doctor’s questions:

• Who had head gear? – Me
• Who had a palate ex-pander? – Me
• Who was in braces more than 2 years. – Me
• Who went through lunch trash to find a retainer. – Me
• Who had to and a bonded brace fixed with an emergency appointment. – Me

But more than my experiences, I was so bummed to learn about the Invisalign alternative to braces THE SAME MONTH my son’s braces were removed!

There would have been SO many advantages to using Invisalign over braces with our son, but the biggest one for me is that I would not have been worrying about his teen being permanently discolored. I worried and worried that when those braces came off, there would be a discoloration on his teeth because, um – he’s a boy and doesn’t like toothbrushes.

I even requested the braces come off a few months early. His teeth are fine and are not discolored, but I could have saved myself a lot of worry.

From my son’s standpoint, with Invisalign, he could have chewed sugarless gum. AND he could have eaten anything by removing the Invisalign aligners. I really give my son credit for giving up popcorn, chew candy, gum and hard candies for almost 2 years!

Invisalign is not for every orthodontia case, but the doctors we talked to in Kentucky are using Invisalign for 48% of their orthodontia patients.

I am really glad I started posting my goals. It is a HUGE form of accountability, but it is SO hard.

It is hard to pick and choose what I will get done this week. I want to do it all. I know I won’t. I am so used to making a SUPER to do list and then working as hard as I can to get as much as I can done.

But that’s not realistic. And ultimately, what I do get done are all the little things. Not the BIG meaty projects that will really grow my business and my brand. 

And it’s scary to put your BIG goals on a public list.

What if….

• I don’t reach the goal?
• The goal seems unattainable to others.
• I quit half way through and switch goals?
• I don’t have a clue how I am going to reach the goal yet, but I need to get started?

Just saying I would post 5 blog posts a week was a stretch.  

But I need to stretch to grow so, I am adding a category on my goal list: Turning Business Dreams into Goals.

I do not expect to master these in a week, but I do expect to continue to make progress each week.

Here’s how I did last week:

Family

1. Work on devoting 2 hours a night to parenting & homemaking. – Ongoing

2. Finish signing the kids up for summer camps& Abby’s room TODAY!

3. Make a family calendar.

Homemaking Goals

4. Figure out a way to give hubby a great birthday when we are all running the week and have NO dinner times together!

5. Pack for our trip to Florida for my sister in laws wedding reception. I want to make it fun for the kids and really plan out the plane ride.

6. Plan mother’s day {while out of town}.

Business Goals

6. Post 5 blog posts.

7. Follow up on a new product to feature on Organize 365.

8. Prepare a webinar schedule for the Successful Direct Sales membership site.

9. Meet with my new professional organization partner in Organize 365.

10. Professionally organize 4/5 days this week!

11. Participate in my first Blog party sponsored by Invisalign this Thursday night.
