Did you find business cards in your kitchen office?
I have tried different systems and this is the easiest way I have found for organizing business cards.
First, I follow up with the contact on Linked In and Facebook if appropriate. I add them to either my Successful Direct Sales or Organize 365 monthly newsletters if requested and send any information by email that we discussed.
Then what? What do you do with the cards? I like to keep them. I have a photographic memory. I will remember your business card for a LONG time!
This summer, I took all my business cards and sorted them based on where I met the contact originally. I used baseball card holder pages and a binder. To divide the pages I used Post-It Tabs.
Last week when meeting with a new client, she had a collection of artwork to sell and she wanted my help. I know NOTHING about art. BUT I recalled that an eWomen member owns an art gallery.
As soon as I got home, I flipped to my eWomen business cards and quickly found Mary Ran’s art gallery card.
My client is happy and I feel like a super star!
NEW BUSINESS CARDS
Stop rolling your eyes. I actually have my same business cards (with the right phone number this time!) BUT I have added this cool new LAYAR technology.
Nancy from Print Management showed me how this works and I HAD to have it!
First, you need to download the layar app on your iPad or phone.
Then, you can scan a business card that is created using this technology and it will create a MOBILE WEBSITE from your business card!
Here is what pops up from my organizing business card:
