From 2008 - 2011 I felt like a hamster on a wheel that wouldn't quit spinning faster and faster and then... it happened.
Life was moving SO FAST I got run over.
I thought it was just me, but I now know it wasn't. We can all expect to find ourselves feeling like roadkill on the side of the road of life at least once in our lives.
I was so overwhelmed I actually quit my full-time teaching job just to get our home under control and reclaim my family.
I mean who QUITS their job to get organized?!
It really wasn't even a choice. I was already failing as a homeowner and sliding deeper into debt.
My marriage was strained and our kids were well... I wasn't being the best mom I wanted to be. They along with everything else was put after my job.
On my way home from work - late again - I had this thought, "If you fail your kids, no one else will step in as their mom, but if you leave teaching, someone else can be the teacher."
I was a GOOD teacher! We NEEDED the money...
But I couldn't stop thinking about what my future self would feel in 10 years if I chose to stay on my current path.
It wasn't easy.
We went further into debt.
January 2012 was the HARDEST month of my life. I had no plan and no income.
I purposefully decided to STOP...
I had NO idea how, but I was determined to become a positive person in control of my household, my income and my desiny.
I was done reacting.
I thought getting organized would be easy.
You see I'm a "born organized person", but I couldn't get organized again no matter what I tried.
I was about to tune 40 and felt like I was drowning in my own house. Everywhere I looked there was SO MUCH STUFF!
I took my teaching skills and created a lesson plan for my decluttering and organization. After 18 months I was able to transform my home and my life.
The journey I took to get my home organized has been refined and distilled into the current 100 Day Home Organization Program.

I started listening to Organize365 podcasts last August. I remember telling my mom and sister-in-law that finding Organize365 was “life changing!”
