I remember the day I figured out how to listen to a podcast. It was shortly after I had bought my iPhone. I LOVE audio trainings, books, and speakers. I am a sponge for learning!
After trying a few entrepreneurial podcasts, I stumbled across Entrepreneur on Fire with John Lee Dumas. I was hooked. I did as I usually do and scrolled back to his very first podcast and listened to them all.
Now, that’s quite a feat! John podcasts DAILY and he was the first to do it. When I found his podcast, it was in the 400’s of interviews. As of the posting of this post, he is over 1000!
Then in the Fall of 2014, I started the Organize 365 Podcast to chronicle the 40 Weeks 1 Whole House Challenge. You can listen to all the 40 Week 1 Whole House Challenge Podcasts in the Organize 365 APP.
Now that all of the 40 Weeks Podcasts are recorded, I will be covering topics like moving, estate planning, paper, the Sunday Basket, spring cleaning, file organization and more.
I know many of you are listening to the podcasts from your computer, which is great!
But some of you would like to listen from your phone and don’t know how to do that. Well, this post is for you.
Note: The images in this post are taken by my iPhone, but the process is the same if you have an android phone. You will just go to the STITCHER app instead of the iTunes podcast.
Step 1 – Find the App
This little purple microphone is your Podcast app on your iPhone. Everyone has one. You can’t delete it. So look in your folders if you can’t find yours or perform an update on your phone.
On android phones, you will download the STITCHER app.
Step 2 – Search
There is a magnifying glass on the bottom right when you open the app. Search for Organize 365.
Click on the bigger button under the heading “Podcast” to get all the episodes, not just one. Then click “Subscribe.”
Here is where I go through and click on the old episodes and download those, too.
Step 4 – Listen
Now you need to get out of the store and into your Podcast app to listen. So click on the “My Podcasts” button on the bottom left.
The Organize 365 podcast is now in your queue.
Click on it to see the episodes you haven’t heard yet.
Click on one to start listening. 🙂
I talk pretty fast. You can speed me up or slow me down by clicking on the purple speed button on the bottom left.
Just keep clicking to go from 1x to 1.5x to 2x to .5x.
Step 5 – Rating and review
Because I listen to 5-10 podcasts a day, I hear the host asking all the time for the listeners to leave a rating and review of the show in iTunes. I didn’t want to ask you to do that in each podcast, but I DO want to hear what you have to say!!
I would LOVE it if you would leave me a rating and review of my show so that it will get out to more listeners.
To do that, you need to go back to the magnifying glass and look my show up again.
Then click on the show and then click on “Reviews.”
Click on the link to write a review and THANK YOU!!
